Elizabeth Hardin
Elizabeth Hardin has loved doodling and turning letters into art for as long as she can remember. On her first grade report card her teacher wrote "Elizabeth has been taught the D'Nealian style of printing. However, she frequently chooses to print in her own style." She received a BA in Human Services from Elon University in 2009 and then headed to Nashville to earn a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. After receiving two very expensive degrees, she decided to take a listen to the wise words of her first-grade teacher and turn her passion for typography into a profession. Soon after marrying her husband, Jonathan, in 2011 she started her business, Hardink Calligraphy & Design. Through Hardink she works with brides and businesses across the country to create modern and vibrant calligraphy styles that turn simple words into works of art. Her work has been featured in Brides, Southern Weddings, Munaluchi Bride, and Occasions Magazine, to name a few. She is completely self-taught and still constantly learning; when in doubt, Elizabeth just lets her hand do the talking. When she's not holding a quill and covered in ink she's chasing her 1 year old son, Holcombe.
