Today we’re delighted to share with you Aleshia and Delbert’s stunning California wedding. We worked with our friends Paper & Chocolate to create the glamorous wedding invitations for their big day. Overflowing flowers and hints of pink, mint, and gold created a romantic beach atmosphere for a couple that is clearly smitten.
The invitations were on display at the wedding in an ornate frame, and featured our Istanbul Lace design by Aimee O’Boyle. We printed the design in our Pearl Shine and Gold Matte metallic foils along with our subtle dusty pink letterpress ink. Hand calligraphy accents by Kelle McCarter added a unique and personal touch.
L’Auberge in California provided the perfect location to view the Pacific as a backdrop. Clear skies, elegant umbrellas, and an abundance of romantic flowers captivated the wedding ceremony. True Photography Weddings captured the gorgeous photos and highlighted all of the glamorous details.

Here is another case in which it’s obvious that the right design like our Lace design (by Maura Gaulthier) needs the right color. Annie P. Paperie says “pewter” and we say “absolutely!” This is a design that stands on its own and doesn’t need a whole lot of frills or embellishing to look beautiful.

Bad pun completely not withstanding, this is a really cool example of Kelle McCarter‘s Typology design. It’s much easier to tell in person, but the invite actually features a very classy combo of both regalia letterpress ink, and our silver shine foil stamping.

Today we’re excited to share photos of the premier issue of paperswell: modern design ideas for paper goods & weddings, a brand new magazine celebrating beautiful invitations, letterpress, stationery, paper goods, weddings and more. Bella Figura calligrapher and designer Kelle McCarter teamed up with photographer Laura Dombrowski to put this beautiful magazine together, and we were completely blown away by all of the lovely features (including lots of Bella Figura invitations and an artist profile on fellow Bella Figura designer Maura Gauthier)! One of the best parts? A portion of the proceeds for this magazine will be donated to the Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies, which is an organization in Golden Colorado whose mission is to rescue and find loving homes for abused and abandoned Golden Retrievers. We’ve got a sneak peek at this gorgeous new publication for you, but be sure to pick up your copy today at paperswell.com!

We letterpress addicts adore the simple, charming feel of the Ribbon Heart (by Kelle Anne McCarter) wedding invitations submitted to us by our friends at Judy Paulen Designs in New York, NY.
The ribbon symbolizes a bond connected and claimed, and the heart expresses feelings that are not only precious, but solid and everlasting.
The carefree feel of rustic crosshatch envelope lining in azalea ink coordinates perfectly with the invitation.
Their marriage will be a meaningful celebration of love! Congrats to Judy Paulen Designs!

This design won an honorable mention in our Bella Figura design competition for the first half of 2011. This twice-a-year competition recognizes outstanding and inspired design submitted by our beloved dealers.
Umber and Chartreuse inks laid down on our ivory paper lend this lovely letterpress wedding invitation set a distinctly earthy and organic look, while at the same time showing off some very sophisticated style. The bride and grooms names have been written out in Maura style hand calligraphy by Kelle McCarter, which gives a gorgeous dash of individuality to the Vendage design (by Kamal). To coordinate with their invitations, this couple also decided to print matching menus and program covers for their wedding. Homemade pies and cookies you say? YES PLEASE!

Calligrapher Kelle McCarter of designsgirl, who recently designed two gorgeous new calligraphy letterpress wedding invitations for our 2010 collection, was featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty, this week! Kelle’s beautiful calligraphy was a part of a gorgeous photoshoot that was a collaboration between a handful of incredibly talented wedding vendors for a recent From Inspiration to Reality feature on Style Me Pretty.
