We love it when couples ask us to re-imagine designs in ways even we haven’t ever dreamed of. Kaitlin and Jason’s letterpress and gold foil stamped winter wedding invitations show how versatile our designs are, and how just a few simple additions can transform a summery floral design into a festive and holiday inspired invitation for a December wedding. We kept the overall look of our Katerina design and added pine sprigs, pine cones, and berries to bring to life their wintertide vision.

Our Katerina design is quickly becoming a favorite among our many floral inspired designs. We’ve seen it customized for baby and bridal showers, altered with custom artwork and rearranged in a multitude of different layouts. Here are a few of our favorites:
Bailey and Michael asked us to add some meaningful touches to their Katerina suite, including oranges, mountain laurel flowers, and a sweet bluebird. Their custom artwork framed Sarah Hanna’s hand calligraphy where their names were highlighted in tawny foil.
Elizabeth and Peter went with a more contemporary layout and typography and used minimal design elements for a more modern feel.
Gemma’s bridal shower invitations were inspired by the Katerina thank you cards and used just a hint of the artwork at the bottom of the card for a sweet, ladylike look.

The latest issue of Weddings in Houston magazine features a variety of popular wedding trends for 2017, and we were thrilled to spot our Katerina wedding invitations by Leslie Johnston in their “Finer Details: Invitations & Favors” section! Katerina is a sophisticated floral design filled with lush greenery and white florals accented by tawny matte foil. Many thanks to Weddings in Houston for the feature!
With its lush botanicals and serene color palette, it’s no surprise that our Katerina design was inspired by Greenery, the 2017 Pantone color of the year. The floral motifs are repeated on the envelope liner and the jute envelope adds a natural, earthy tone to the design.
