Today’s real wedding took our breath away. Hillary and Tyler were married at the Meridian House in November, and their elegant wedding had lots of natural, slightly rustic touches — like their Woodland bookmark save the dates and die-cut wedding invitations and their grapevine ceremony archway. Their wedding day was filled with personal touches, too — the tea-lovers served hot tea to their guests to keep them warm during the ceremony; the save the dates got a personalized touch after Hillary added tassels to each one; and a whiskey tasting table was set up for the groom. We recently returned from the 2015 National Stationery Show, where we had the opportunity to meet with new and existing Bella Figura retailers. We shared a new booth space with our sister company, Smock, and created some new displays to make it easier for retailers to shop our collection. Before the show started, we sent out a mailer to announce our new space and our show specials. Based on our Lucaya design, the announcement mailer was double-sided, with an art print on the front and info on the back. The piece was sent out alongside Smock’s monochromatic, art print style mailers with one of Smock’s new foil stamped envelope liners.
Well before the show started, we began brainstorming ways to make it easier to browse our vast collection. The Stationery Show is a great opportunity for our retailers to update their materials (and for new retailers to select theirs), so we created a special display that we dubbed a “Belladex”. Similar in style to a rolodex, our Belladexes showcased our invitations on hinges, making it easy to flip through and view our designs. We worked with a local vendor to create the handsome, handcrafted wooden boxes, and Debi Zeinert hand calligraphed the hinges with each design’s name. After the hinges were calligraphed, we adhered the invitations and then slid them onto dowels that rested inside of each box. We were thrilled with the end result! Here’s a peek at our booth (and our Belladexes) during set-up:
After setup was complete, the booth looked like this:

In total, we brought 5 Belladexes, which featured roughly 265 of our best designs.
One of the most exciting parts of the National Stationery Show was winning our first Louie Award! The Louie’s represent the best greeting cards and stationery in the business, so it was an honor to have our Elodie design by Jessica Tierney recognized this year.
Another exciting part of the National Stationery Show is Paper Party! Here’s a peek at the invitations that we created with Moglea for the event (view the full post here), and be sure to check out Smock’s Paper Party recap!
Many thanks to the press and retailers who came by to see us at the National Stationery Show! Until next year!
We feature our Traditional Palm invitation design quite a bit here on the blog – couples are constantly re-imagining it in ways we can’t wait to share. This customization from Elizabeth and Adam is no exception – it features a custom folder and plenty of informative enclosure cards all foil stamped in our beach inspired tawny matte foil. The custom folder was setup to hold the reply card, events card and direction cards and was embellished with a foil stamped shell from our motif collection. A white gold metallic envelope liner was the finishing touch on these foil stamped destination wedding invitations.

For their California winery wedding, Lindsay and Jared customized our Gournay design by using Debi Zeinert’s casually elegant hand calligraphy and a custom print that we turned into an envelope liner. If you look closely you can see the lace-like pattern that is blind debossed on the invitations – it adds a subtle charm to these three color vintage letterpress wedding invitations.
letterpress inks: blind deboss + espresso + fawn | font: moravia | paper: bella cotton ivory 1-ply + 2ply | hand calligraphy accents: spencerian style | envelope: bella cotton ivory | envelope liner: supplied pattern | Lion in the Sun | customization #24403
Danielle and Matthew made minor alterations to our Serendipity design by adding design-inspired corner embellishments. They added a pocketfold to round up the reply card, reception card and website card, along with the invitation to the welcome party being held on the eve of the wedding. Their neutral color palette was carried throughout these black and rose gold foil stamped wedding invitations.
letterpress ink: black | foil stamping: rose gold shine | fonts: copperplate + aurora + aiden stripe | paper: bella cotton white 1-ply | metallic pocketfold: white gold | envelope: bella cotton white | envelope liner: formal flourish pattern in dusty pink | Dandelion Patch | customization #23922
Brandl and Igor customized our Anderson design by changing up the fonts, adding a letterpress border and opting for a pink on pink color palette. Whisper edge painting and a natural woodgrain liner in fuchsia completed these pretty in pink letterpress wedding invitations.
letterpress inks: british rose + fuchsia | fonts: norah + utrecht | paper: bella cotton white 2-ply | diecut style: lincoln | edge painting: whisper | envelope: bella cotton white | envelope liner: natural woodgrain pattern in fuchsia | customization #23493
We sure do love shiny foil and colorful embellishments – but sometimes the simplicity of crisp black letterpress ink against the pillowy backdrop of our cotton paper is enough to take our breath away. Silvia and Jesse’s Hayden calligraphy wedding invitations showcase the beauty and craftsmanship in both hand lettering and artisan printing, with Nicole Black’s calligraphy calling guests to their California winery wedding.

Our Royal Night invitation design seamlessly blends whimsical, handdrawn stars with formal fonts for couples looking to incorporate a hint of fun to their otherwise classic invitations. Cassie and Sean chose Gotham Hall in New York City for their opulent 1920’s inspired wedding last June. We helped set the tone for their celebration by creating a silver matte and gold shine foil take on our Fugue invitation design. The couple worked with Claudia at The Wedding Library to create a magical, Gatsby-like experience for their guests, with careful attention to detail on everything from the welcome bags to the signature cocktails.
