Lauren and John hosted their wedding at New Jersey’s Pleasantdale Chateau – a venue that would feel right at home in any classic fairytale. They modified our Fitzgerald design by removing the gatsby-inspired fonts and motifs and substituting hand calligraphy to add elegance and sophistication to the simplified border. A color palette of pewter and gold matte foil was a classic choice for these romantic wedding invitations.

Alicia and Tim’s black and gold save the dates showcase the modern and minimal styling of our Duncan design. Simple typography is highlighted by gold matte foil and classic black ink while the same gold foil adds a pop of unexpected glamor to the edges of our 2-ply cotton paper.

Nicole and Patrick were wed at Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards, a romantic venue in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. They customized our Folk Floral design with a springtime palette of navy and shell letterpress inks and chose a font with an organic feel to further personalize their rustic wedding invitations. An added card gave reply information as well as details about the welcome reception and farewell brunch.

Sandy and Kain chose our art deco inspired Odeon suite to set the tone for their elegant wedding at Oheka Castle. They worked with Ipanema Press to create their letterpress and gold foil stamped stationery suite, which included save the dates, invitations, reception cards, reply cards, and thank you notes. The couple even took advantage of our free favor card promotion by supporting the North Shore Animal League (the same shelter where they adopted their toy poodle last year!). With help from her mother, Sandy planned the entire wedding on her own, letting the subtle, art deco theme be her guide. Details like beaded bridesmaid dresses, decorative gold accents, and a vintage getaway car tied the look together. Visit Style Me Pretty to see more details!

Bella Figura calligrapher Sarah Hanna recently taught a custom map workshop at The Windmill Paper Boutique in Boca Raton, Florida, and took some beautiful photos of the class! Today we’re sharing a recap of the workshop – take a look!
Sarah developed her class to help other artists create personal, hand illustrated maps like the ones shown below. She designed it to help artists expand their business by using technology without losing their artfulness. Each student received a personalized workbook with the class notes and space to take their own notes during the lecture.
The workshop curriculum was designed to blend fashion and function – a love story, a wedding, a family history, or, as the above commission illustrates, a personal story. Each student came to class with a storyline prepared. The class was split 50/50 with professional artists and students who were interested in using the techniques for personal gifts. It was a fantastic group of creatives!
Blending the artist’s human touch with the digital world was the order of the day….an artist in Colorado even took the course via FaceTime! We love how Sarah coordinated her outfit with the workshop theme (thanks to the Gap in California!).
At the end of the class, Sarah provided an art supply petting zoo, where the students had hands-on time to play with pigment, brushes and various types of archival paper. Sarah also went over her recommended art supplies to use for master copies and which techniques to use – and the ones to avoid.
Many thanks to Sarah for sharing a peek inside of her beautiful workshop at the Windmill!
The idyllic landscape of Cedar Lakes Estate was the backdrop for Rebecca and Brant’s recent summertime wedding. Using our Bradley design as inspiration they chose a palette of atlantic, pansy and british rose inks as the backdrop to our copper shine foil, digitally printing on our Bella Smooth cotton paper. A coordinating enveloper liner was the finishing touch on these watercolor wedding invitations.

After an incredibly intimate proposal with only their dog Harley as a witness, Marina and Greg decided their wedding day should be just as intimate. Green Apple Weddings helped craft their vision into a magical celebration at the Metropolitan Building in New York. The couple fell in love with the venue’s mystical romantic ambiance, and its shabby chic style reflected their love for antiques. Marina and Greg chose our vintage A Bientot design for their wedding invitations, which complemented the venue perfectly. Melanie from Melarosa helped transform the space with breathtaking florals, which surrounded the ceremony altar, topped the cake, and cascaded throughout the reception tables. Love this look? Our Laurent letterpress save the dates and invitations set the tone for Stephen and Kristy’s romantic estate wedding last fall. The pair exchanged vows in front of a beautiful floral arch overflowing with roses, hydrangeas and lush greenery. Decorative peacocks were a unique design element used throughout the wedding – they were featured on the save the dates as well as the wedding cake toppers — and there was even an oversized decorative peacock on display as part of the reception decor! Kristy’s bridesmaids wore elegant navy dresses by Amsale that matched their Prussian Blue invitation suite. Love this look?
