There is something to be said for turning 75! Rosemary and Peter worked with Uptowne Papers to create their telegram inspired invitations in black letterpress. Inspired by a vintage aesthetic, we helped bring their vision to life with the Typewriter font for their invitation language. They kept the invitation authentic to a telegram using only Black ink as well as Ivory paper. Finally, a postmarked envelope liner brought the authenticity of the set together using the event date cleverly in the center.

Carly and Omid worked with our Bella Figura – Brooklyn store to create these umber letterpress wedding invitations. They customized our Pressed design with this rustic color to match the tone of their Buttermilk Falls Inn setting. We added a barn motif to their rehearsal dinner card as an homage to their venue as well. They kept the set free of any script font accents by focusing on consistent serif font use. This allowed the overall suite to have a cohesive as well as a harmonious typography layout. Finally, little floral accents carried over from the invitation also added rustic charm to the overall tone of the set.
Ashley and Brandon sent their guests these New Year’s Eve wedding invitations with silver foil for their big day. They opted for a thin pinstripe border around the perimeter of the invitation in Silver Matte. They chose to add foil to their names but kept the remainder of the design in Black letterpress. Touches of motifs kept the overall suite of the design clean and consistent. A metallic envelope liner with a skyline of Chicago added a design element to this otherwise minimalistic design style. Thanks to the help of Magnificent Milestones!
Claudia and Daniel worked with our Bella Figura store in Manhattan to create these Everly inspired letterpress invitations with foil accents. They opted for Cobblestone ink to keep the color palette neutral. They added foil accents on the bride as well as groom’s names to stand out from the rest. To mimic the Everly design, they used the wreath motif to encompass the foil monogram. The reply card also contained elements from the wreath to keep it consistent. Finally, the envelope liner also used the same greenery to tie everything together.
Ordering extra cards and envelopes is easy, and we’re always happy to accommodate this back to press request. We know changes happen all the time! However, think about how much you might save in the long run just by ordering 10 more “just in case” suites at the time of the initial order. The less stress, the better – especially when it comes to all things wedding related!
Something to keep in mind:
Here at Bella Figura, there are an assortment of different hands on a job at any given time. We put our heart and soul into these heirlooms. From graphic design to prepress, from prepress to precut, from precut to press, and so on. The production chain is there to make your vision come to life and this happens whether it’s the first order or a reorder. The same amount of care, materials, and dedication of time is put into each order.
We love what we do, but below you’ll find a graphic that outlines the savings between ordering 110 at the time of the initial order versus ordering 10 more later on after the first order is completed:
We’re here to make your wedding load that much lighter. It is always better to order more than not enough when it comes to invitations. Whether it be a change in address or a new addition to the guest list, you’ll want to have an extra pile of back-up invitations ready to go at your disposal. We’re here to do whatever we can to make that happen in the easiest way possible!
We worked with Write Occasions in Colorado to create these charcoal letterpress dinner invitations. They opted for a typography layout using a serif font. The invitation tells guests that a sleigh whisks them away to their cabin with a fire waiting for them. It’s only fitting that they chose a belly-band with a cabin illustration to jazz-up this set. The belly-band made from vellum keeps the overall design clean as well as modern. Finally, the envelope liner printed in Charcoal added a complementary look to the Charcoal based suite.

Many wedding invitations come through our shop so it’s always nice to see a refreshing birthday design once in a while! This 90th letterpress birthday invitation set the tone for the event to come. Virginia Diamond’s playful design mimicked her namesake as a queen of diamonds playing card. They chose our Deep Red letterpress ink, a color similar to the red in a set of playing cards. Finally, we have no doubt this celebration is one to bet on – thanks to the help of Jenny’s Paper Ink.

The proper postage is essential for a perfect send-off once you are ready to sign, seal, and deliver! Should you choose our F-8 size (6.25 x 8.3125), there are a few things to keep in mind:
This means they should never fall into the “letter” category. We have observed some post offices mistakenly use First Class Mail Letter rate instead of the First Class Mail Flat rate. Regardless of envelope size, mailing as “flats” should ensure that the post office will handle a thick envelope more delicately—reducing the risk of damage.
Bear in mind that different post offices may give inconsistent guidance on how to handle thick envelopes. As a result, we recommend you stress the importance of these above-mentioned guidelines.
We worked with Girl General to create these watermelon letterpress bridal shower invitations. They chose a handwritten style font to emphasize the bride to be’s name. A small thin bottom border kept the design grounded. The date in block lettering at the top added design interest to an otherwise simple design. We have no doubt this celebration went out with a bang for Elizabeth!
We worked with PS Paper to create these blind debossed gray Bat Mitzvah invitations for Davis. Inspired by Sweet Christine, they customized the design by using our Light Gray paper. They opted for a clean sans serif font for the entirety of the design rather than including any script accents. Bronze Shine foil shined brightly on the Light Gray paper throughout each piece in the set. The suite included a corresponding reply card and party card. These particular pieces did not include the debossed pattern but used the honeycomb pattern in a different way with foil. Finally, the envelope liner in our Pearse pattern brought in another geometric element to the suite.
Our friends at Magnificent Milestones worked with Janneth and Jacob to create these playful blue letterpress invitations with foil accents. Inspired by our Mannon design, they kept the color palette the same but added a colorful envelope liner. Our Copper Matte foil and Prussian Blue inks play off each other harmoniously in this set. Motifs on the insert card added a playful element to get their guests even more excited for their Ecuador venue. Finally, the envelope liner featuring an illustration of the area tied everything together in various colors.
